All three models have a RearView monitor to make reversing easier, a USB connection for iPods and similarly compatible devices, and a light near the lockable charge port to make charging at night easier. B-mode, or Regenerative Braking Drive Mode, recycles captured energy when braking or coasting to help prolong battery life. Both the SV and SL come with NissanConnect EV, allowing drivers to monitor the battery life of their Leaf vehicle from a PC or smartphone; while all trims come with a 5-inch color display for NissanConnect as it synchronizes with mobile apps. The SV model can recharge in thirty minutes instead of hours with the quick-charge port, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and is compatible with Pandora radio. The added features for the SL include LED low-beam headlights, dual power heated outside mirrors, a photovoltaic solar-panel rear spoiler, and a HomeLink® Universal Transceiver that allows for remote control of home lights, garage doors, and gates. The aerodynamic design of the Leaf includes a rear diffuser and flat underbody, allowing air to flow smoothly while driving to enhance speed and performance.
