Nissan Z 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine

Strength and power. An aluminum-alloy block and heads keep things light, while a water-cooled intercooler helps keep things cool. Optical turbo speed sensors help the turbines produce power up to a dizzying 240,000 rpm.

Six air bags

Nissan’s Advanced Air Bag System includes dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat-belt sensors and an occupant-classification sensor that adjusts the inflation rate based on crash severity and seat belt usage. Additionally, side-impact supplemental air bags are built into the front seats, so they move with you as you adjust your seating position. And roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags help provide head protection.

Advanced braking system

Nissan Z’s Anti-lock Braking System can help you maintain control by preventing wheel lockup, which in turn allows you to steer around obstacles in your path. Electronic Brake force Distribution sends extra force to the rear brakes when you have additional weight in the vehicle, while Brake Assist helps apply maximum force if it detects a hard braking situation.
